hiii I've been a violin player for 4+ years and you're not supposed to touch the horse hair! It can make the bow not glide on the violin as well and more! I'm not hating just a recommendation.

You can buy car detail tape and that works very well and when needed to be removed it comes off easily, 1.5 mil

i am very glad did this!! this is very helpful for beginners :D is it also good to tape the balance point of your bow too bc that balance point is gonna be useful to help control the bow more and playing specific notes. keep up the good work!!

helloo! I'm 16 and i just started playing violin around july! a little tip on how to know where the highest tape goes, you have to measure it based on your hand! for me, my teacher had me put my middle finger on the tip and stretch my hand along the bow, and wherever my thumb reached was where we put the highest tape! hope thiss helpss

hi I'm in 7th grade and I play the violin and I'm in advanced orchestra my orchestra teacher says don't touch the bow hair ALSO u might wanna untighten your bow its to tight u should be able to put a pencil or your pinky though the stick and the bow hair
