sometimes we get caught up in loving someone that we forget to stop and love ourselves. I have been so busy loving everyone else I forgot to stop and actually love myself. I'm setting out for a road trip for myself. I feel like I need to reset my soul after the years of hurting it's time to teach myself how to love and care more about me. I have spent my whole life fighting to be loved by everyone. I have learned all I need to do is just love myself first and let that one who is meant for me will love me without me chasing it. 🫂❤️thank you I needed to hear this .. 🙂

This, being a rescue boat, is such a painful place to be in. To watch others make bad decisions, seeing it from the other side, knowing the answers, yet no matter how much you try to help, you watch them keep doing it over and over is so exhausting. It doesn't matter if you've been there, it doesn't matter if you could help them, they just don't get it. And it's so tiring to try time and time again only to see them fail again.

Sometimes we change so much trying to be loved by another person that we eventually have to go back and find the person we were before we started trying to be enough. There is a profound difference between growing because someone loves you and losing pieces of yourself because you need them to. Love should add to who we are, not slowly erase us. Perhaps finding the true self isn’t about becoming someone new at all perhaps it is about remembering who we were before we forgot ourselves.
