Keep text interactions very short. If they want to talk, call, FaceTime preferably to get more face to face but don’t accept calls everyday. Let it breathe. Also only do this knowing that he has made plans to see you in person. Being on the phone for over a week or 2 will no plans is pen pal territory.

The beat can only build if both parties want it to build.. it's too easy to over play esp through text. So actual phone and FaceTime calls

Like other said, less texting more phone calls- but you can’t discuss work or what you did that day. Eliminates the mundane and helps you get to know someone deeper.

- don’t answer more than 2 text messages, if they want to talk they’ll call - limit their SM access to you, if they want to see you they’ll set something up
