If you feel compfortable to share more details about your cancer (grade, size, IDC or ILC), would be interesting to get something like an explanation why it could spread with such a low ki67. But of course they should treat you as curable ! It's still quite local. In fact I hope I will still see a time, when they can treat all women as curable.

I was diagnosed basically de novo with tiny nodule 4mm to lung and 1 rib met ( now NEAD ) but no one has ever mentioned oligometastatic to me. I do wonder if it might be but I darent ask incase Oncologist tells me why it’s not. I know that sounds ridiculous. Wishing you all the very best xx

i could have written this myself! de novo stage 4, 38, mom to 3 girls, hr+/her2-, mets to sternum,t4 & humerus but small, started chemo 8/13! following you bc i dont meet a lot of stage 4s that get as lucky as we are! [Starry hearts]

I’m glad to have found someone else with the same diagnosis. I also have a doctor who knows about oligometastatic cancer and who has also suggested a curative approach to me. As a result, I am also fortunate enough to be receiving the standard treatment with chemotherapy, contrary to the guidelines. I have breast cancer with two affected lymph nodes. I also have a metastasis in a thoracic vertebra. The vertebral body was first treated with radiotherapy. On the last day of the radiotherapy session, I started chemotherapy. First 12 cycles of Pacli, followed by 4 cycles of EC. I’m currently on cycle 14 out of 16. This will be followed by breast-conserving surgery and then radiotherapy to the breast. And then… hopefully no detectable active cells. I have ER/PR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. I was told that normally, as soon as metastases exists, curative treatment is not pursued, because the cancer has already spread. However, if there is exactly one single metastasis, it is possible to attempt curative treatment, as if there were no metastasis at all.
