I taught my sons not to hit women but I also taught them that it's okay to defend themselves. I taught my daughter to never hit a man in the crotch unless you're fighting for your life or your virtue and if you hit a man then be prepared to get hit back.

if youre teaching your kids to hit people whether its a boy hitting a girl or a girl hitting a boy, whatever, you're pretty much teaching your kid to be an abuser, not all of them, but if they think its okay to hit people now as a kid especially if you as the parents are telling them thst its okay, to me youre teaching your kid to be an abuser in the future. and this has nothing to do with self defense
