@wendy.mabee.boyac: The Hardest Curtain Call" ❤️ After 45 years in theatre, it's time for a new chapter. This wasn't a decision I wanted to make. Theatre has been my second home for nearly half my life. It's where I've told stories, mentored students, collaborated with amazing artists, and found lifelong friendships. Recently, I've developed cataracts and macular degeneration. The visual demands of theatre—the darkness, the lighting, the long hours, and the stress—are contributing to the decline of my eyesight. As heartbreaking as it is, I know it's time to step away from directing and designing. To every actor, technician, musician, volunteer, student, audience member, and friend who shared this journey with me... Thank you. You have made my life richer than I could have imagined. But this isn't goodbye to storytelling. I'll continue creating through watercolor, writing and illustrating children's books, and sharing stories that encourage kindness, courage, and hope.
