Let’s face it cap was too stubborn and proud fr leaving all the sacrifices for Tony,because if you can remember Tony talked about the suit of amour around the world assuming the avengers didn’t break down he would have built it, even cap was against Tony when he was building vision cap was against everything Tony wanted because cap was too blind but Tony saw the visions of what will happen in not cap would have been selfless and signed the salkovia accords

I think people don't realize that even if Tony made huge mistakes, he was the only one that was trying to prepare BEFORE a threat arrived. he wanted to take that step, cap just refused everything and lived in peace until a threat arrived. Tony made huge mistakes but he made mistakes while trying to take a step ahead of their threats and have fail-safes. cap didn't take a step ahead, he fought like a solider. he fought once a threat shows itself but didn't help to prevent them from ever being made
