@sippin_n_munchin: [ Big Short Coffee ] @bigshortcoffee new autumn menu is in, and we got to try some of the new creations. Across the board, the flavours feel lighter and more restrained, especially compared to the previous season. Still plenty of personality, but with a gentler hand. Biko (r)ice-cream — One bite and you’ll realise just how flavour-dense this is. An absolute bad boy. Rich with jaggery sugar and coconut, it is unmistakably dessert, with the glutinous rice base adding plenty of chew and texture. Their soft serves continue to be my favourite offerings. Doctor’s Orders — Perhaps the quirkier one of the lot. The lapsang souchong is fairly restrained, but the chocolate element from the milk wash gives the drink some added depth. Otherwise, it drinks gently, almost like a softer cold pour. The freeze-dried candy pills, though, are a fun touch. Kiwi Fairy — Sweet, slightly funky and considerably brighter. A tea-based creation that remains perceptible despite the louder contrasting flavours. Cardamom brings an interesting aromatic edge, though it does start to dominate after a while. Pandancha — One for those who enjoy layers: coconut, tea, muah chee and jam, all coming together in softer, contrasting notes. If you need a boba equivalent here, this is probably it.
