dont let people in the comments discourage you… serving makes great money but its not always stable or predictable everyone has something that works for them. if you dont wanna go back dont go back

I did this too and came to the conclusion that I just hate to work no matter the job. But it was conflicting bcs i loved being able to sit in an office and being home all weekends and public holidays, but at the same time I miss the flexibility of having am and pm shifts and being able to travel more easily…I struggled waking up early in the morning every single day

I’ve been a server, McDonald’s cashier, cleaned hotel rooms,etc since I was 18 till I turned 25. Let me tell you how great ful I am for my office job 🙏I prayed for where I am today, I work from home, have holidays off and PTO. I was so tired of costumer services industry and couldn’t be more grateful for my job. Dont listen to the negative comments, everyone has a different perspective and a different experiences in life. Do want makes you happy

I used to do 70-80 hours a week in a federal government job. 9 years there. Quit and worked as a lunch lady at my daughters elementary school while getting my college degree. The absolute BREAK that 5 hour days 5 days a week gave me plus breaks and summer vacation like oh my goodness. Now I work only 2 12s at a hospital while completing my second degree and I still sub at the school sometimes. Leaving a job that takes up so much of your time is so freeing and healing

This is hilarious to me because you’ll be back. I did the same thing took a highly salary job and guess who went back to bartending? When you get tired of that stupid corporate bullshit and all those responsibilities, you’ll want the simple life back where you just come and get the money and leave.

I’ve became a flight attendant and it feels amazing to have authority and have people respect you vs the food industry where managers wouldn’t even defend you if customers called you a slur
