I tried Xyrem and Xywav for N and they were both awful awful for me, I was awake all night and so ill. I tried multiple doses, never again

This drug saved my life. I couldn’t function without it. I have a life again. It’s wild how different it is for everyone!! I was warned finding the right dose makes a huge difference in your experience. Having the right dose has made this amazing for me.

I’ve been taking this for my narcolepsy and this has been the worst time for me. I went up to the second dose (3mg) and I had this same experience after my second dose of the night. Puking, couldn’t get off the floor, room spinning, crying for my husband to come pick me up. I haven’t taken it since.

Xywav has changed my life - been taking it for years now (also right after FDA approval for IH). But I’ve never been THIS incapacitated! Even at the top dose now. 😳 I randomly have nausea (maybe 2-3x/yr), but that’s about it.

My Dr says I have narcolepsy. That medication sounds like a literal waking nightmare. I guess I’m going to continue to rawdog narcolepsy!

I have sleep paralysis and it is so stressful when I feel awake and I am trying to move my body and I can't move. I can't imagine going through that I'm horrified for you.
