@a_sliceof_thetoon: This 10km walk along Northumberland’s coastal path has everything you’d expect from the county - coastal views, a historic castle, quaint fishing village and animals along the way 🙌 Start at Howick Sands car park (there’s only about 20 spaces so make sure you arrive early but it is free) and walk past the farm on your right, along the public path towards Howick Bathing House 🏠 The journey then starts on the coastal path where you’ll get stunning views over the shoreline on your right and countryside on your left 🐏🎣 My favourite point is Cullernose Point just before a bit of an incline where you’ll come to the view of Dunstanburgh Castle 🤩 Continue along the path and you’ll soon be in Craster Village. You can make the walk shorter and just stop here for lunch at The Jolly Fisherman or head to Shoreline Cafe for coffee and cake, or continue through the village and up to Dunstanburgh castle 🏰 When it’s time to head back, I did the same route taking in the most amazing views 🫶 Be sure to save for your next trip to Northumberland 💫 #northumberland #coastwalk #beachwalk #northeastengland #dunstanburghcastle
Thank you! I tend to walk starting in Craster and go up the coast past Dunstanburgh and continue that way. Often forget about the walk you’re showing 😊
