@btp.plumbing: I did something today that cost my business money, and I couldn’t be happier. My business took a hit today. My soul took a win. I had the privilege of doing some work for an elderly couple in my local community. I met them through my local café, and over time, we’ve built a genuine friendship. Len has recently been through a serious health battle and, after coming home from hospital, they needed some changes made around their home to make life a little safer and easier. I could have charged them for the work. Instead, I chose to absorb the cost. Is it a great business model? Probably not. But there are some things that are worth more than money. Being able to use the skills I’ve spent a lifetime building to look after vulnerable members of my community, and seeing the genuine gratitude on their faces, is one of the greatest feelings plumbing has ever given me. I’ve spent plenty of my younger years taking from the community around me. These days, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to give something back. I started plumbing because I loved pushing pipes together. I stayed for the people. Purpose over profit. Uncle BTP. Protecting the community. #plumbing #construction #service #homeimprovement #repair

Hey man, I’ve done a fair amount of work for dva, aged care homes as a chippy putting in assistant living measures, as in rails, ramps and included anti slip products for bathrooms. Just wanted to share, those strips have a of a decent fail rate if they don’t adhere properly, so we tried different products. One we found that worked well was an anti slip product called “grip it T”, obviously the cleaner, found it was pretty effective. the strips, mainly on tiles the strips don’t work as well. Thought I’d share 🤙
