@carnage_of_motherhood: One of those social skills I’m teaching my 4-year-old that I think a lot of us adults are still learning too… 📚🍎 There’s such a fine line between sharing your own experience because you’re trying to say “I understand you” and accidentally making someone else’s story about you. So we’re practising listening until they’ve finished, asking questions about their story and giving them their moment… before sharing our own. ❤️ Because being interested in someone else is just as important as being interesting yourself.
