put down a base color and then shade on multiply with reds and purples and an airbrush tool. using reds, Yellows, and purples helps to keep darker skin tones from getting muddy or dull during rendering. you can go over top with a lighter shade of the base for highlights. look at skin tone references and get an idea of the undertone you want

you should try grayscale rendering it helped me draw dark and lighter skin tones better

honestly i don’t think its as hard as u think it is. The same way u draw white people u do with black people, the colors are just darker or more saturated. Maybe its different with this style of rendering id, i’ll give it a test run if u post a rendering tutorial.

By the way, rendering and then adding a multiply layer with the colour you want and adjusting some details is a possible solution

I DO know how to draw black people i just don't know how to color them correctly, i mean i did try and it turned out very amazing however my rendering style is more on realism — there's still some flaws but also not, i can't color black people when it comes to the face because i don't know where the lightning will be and what color should i match when i add a light on it. Here is my only best color of a black person (My oc) please teach me how to render like this but on the face!

I was worried about drawing poc oc’s because the noses I draw in my style are literally just the nostril holes and then I shade to show more emphasis on the shape of the nose in a way. It’s definitely more anime like and I’m still working on making my style more poc friendly but I was actually really proud of this one that I did. Criticism is totally ok as well that way if someone’s seeing something I’m not then I can alter my art! (Her outfits are in my replies)

listening like the marshmallow but when people leave it a little bit much longer it gets darker I'm actually glad that you're trying to draw black people and I really hope to see your art to be honest I have been seeing other people drawing and black people but not that much on my page so I'm glad you're trying and I like your art now it's awesome soft and beautiful

people hating but the fact is that you're actually trying to draw them instead of just stepping back and saying you can't 💔 and that right there is the difference. you're genuinely struggling with rendering a certain skin color, which I can absolutely understand can be hard if initially avoided. I and many people have never had an issue drawing any skintones but that doesn't erase the fact that it is a kinda hard thing to learn for some people. And as long as they acknowledge that they need to learn and actually put effort into learning, instead of just putting themselves behind the words "I can't" they deserve the help and criticism they need.
