@datatransmission: Good thing to think about when referencing your tracks 👇 Don't just reference the overall sound. Use references to work out exactly where your elements should be doing their job. If you've got a killer synth, look at when similar tracks introduce their main hook. Does it lead the drop straight away or arrive halfway through? Are the vocals competing with the main hook, or being used as a secondary motif to transition between sections? You can use one track for arrangement, another for sound choice and another for how different elements are introduced. Sometimes you've already got all the right ideas. You just need to put them in the right places.
