landlords definitely SHOULD be cleaning in between tenants if they want to charge more then 1,500 a month (if renting) or such high prices to sell homes.

Landlords should clean between tenants. It is the landlords property, its the landlords responsibillity to let a property that is clean, safe and inhabitable. If they don't want that responsibillity, don't let out your property. In my opinion, if a tenant has lived there for more than a year walls should be repainted if nessessary, carpets cleaned as standard and things live ovens, microwaves, washing machines deep cleaned also.

As someone who works for a rental company we go in ourselves and clean each unit between tenants, paint if needed, replace carpets if needed, do repairs, everything before we will even rent it

Where I live most leases require bond cleaning. Carpet cleaning. Curtains to be dry cleaned and pest control to be done when vacating.

landlords it is a business you are providing a business. People forget that when you are providing a business you should have the decency to provide a clean and well maintained home (the usual things the landlord is legally responsible). So many landlords are being greedy and want money without putting in the effort, and they wonder why renting laws are heavily siding with the tenants because the tenant majority vote for the politicians who will try to fix this greediness.
