Don’t use those stupid plastic plugs in the UK, the plug is designed so that it’s not live without a ground pin, those plastic plugs open the ground and make the plug live - removing the safety features in the plug

Ideally, do not keep detergent under the sink. It’s easy for you to access but really dangerous. I moved all cleaning products to the top cabinets

I'd add that the top stair gate should be a drill in type and without a step as a pressure fit gate could cause more harm than good. Teaching child stair safety is good and teaching them how to dismount from the sofa under supervision

furniture with high centre of gravity rather than low surely? low centre of gravity = very stable, high centre of gravity = easy to topple.
