She actually expressed this so well and made me think of how challenging parenting can be for some people and I do not even think of those things. I never thought about how hard it may be to not get a lot of feedback from your child while caring from them. Some of the moments that make parenting easier for me is when my child smiles at me or hugs me and I can imagine some parents never get to experience that 💔

Aw I want to give her a hug. 🥺 She looks extremely exhausted 😭 I feel her on so many levels. Hearing ppl call this superpowers is a joke ! Surely she should be able to get help. But ofc it’s left to just mam 🥺

The mum is clearly exhausted and overwhelmed- I've been there it's sometimes hard to see it as more than being a protector or a carer but severely autistic children are still smart, funny and loving families just need more help than they actually get

i feel like this is why my mom never loved me. she said i never liked being touched, i was happier alone, that i disliked being around her. its lonely when your mom says these things.

I have a severely autistic son. He’s somewhat verbal, but cannot care for himself. He will have to live with us indefinitely. I don’t blame him, it’s not his fault. But I do often think about how much easier life would be if he was typical. Doesn’t mean I love him any less. But it’s not an easy life for any of us
