This was something that was done back in the 80s and 90s in Australia. You’d borrow a gnome when you were going to Europe and you’d send postcards and photos back to the owner. 😂 At the end of the trip you’d put it back in the garden

I heard a story in the oilfield. About the owner of a oil company doing the same thing. Only in the end. The gnome had met a girlfriend gnome on the trip and had a baby gnome together and one day the three gnomes ended up back on the person's lawn which it was taken from. Also. The pictures were not sent one by one. They were all together in a package with a long letter from the gnome man telling of his adventures and how he met the live of his gnome life. I feel like I should say gnome one more time. Gnome.

We had a garden gnome at work. It was kidnapped and the ransoms were sent. Eventually, after a few weeks management got mad. Too much focus on the gnome, less work. 😏The gnome was finally returned. Years later I was doing my friends eulogy, he still had the last laugh on everyone as i disclose that he was the gnome napper!!! he would have loved that and the room went nuts!!

Brilliant. My mum once lost her false teeth plate. Around 3 weeks later they arrived by post with loads of photos of her teeth on holiday in Turkey. Even Turkish barman holding the teeth up behind the bar 😂 my aunties stole them 😂😂 weirdos

One time my friend woke up and there was no joke- 30 garden gnomes in her front garden and she was so confused as none of them were hers lol. Someone had collected all the gnomes they could find from houses all around the city (Derry Northern Ireland) and put them in her garden, she had to ring the local radio station and put out a request for ppl to come collect their gnomes- a lot of them just stayed there forever lol
