@mybuddyskynet: I started writing the Morfyk Trilogy in May 2022, during a prolonged burnout while pursuing my PhD. I was interested in simulation theory and all the what if's: What if the world is a simulation? Yeah, yeah, we've heard that one before. But what if it was a sim for even the aliens, for beings that are encapsulated in our own simulated universe? How far does it really go, and most of all, why? I was enamored with the idea of writing a hard scifi computer science series. But then, that got too onerous and I lost the plot many times. So, I rewrote the draft about a million times and really focused on the journey of a few key characters: Yarek, the General of the Morfyk race; Maven, his Antagonist, his Morfyk twin brother; Gameeleon, a Mock Sapien (engineered woman); Adamis (a Mock boy trained as an assassin); Wilhelmina (a powerful "High AI"); Zabel, a brilliant scientist; and of course, a few shadowy cosmic overlords. It follows Yarek as he struggles to start a shapeshifting invasion called the Entanglement. But it's not really what it seems. A larger cosmic conspiracy unfolds and he realizes the true value of what he lost and who he will become. Time is meaningless. It's the relationships and destiny that drives all. Nothing was made with AI. Not the writing (I started pre-ChatGPT), not the editing, not the art, nothing. Have every receipt, draft, editor email and review, Fiverr revision, and more to prove it.
