This is why when I was young and worked retail I would lock the door 10 minutes before closing to close registers and clean the store so that employees and I left at exactly 9pm or whenever time we closed.

I remember a woman and her dude came in one time and I was like "Hey heads up we close in 10 minutes" and the dude didn't acknowledge me at all and the woman stopped in her tracks and started yelling at the dude "you fucking heard her. we're not gonna disrespect them by staying" and she made him leave and was cussing him about manners while walking out. I'll never forget that gem of a woman
