@exposrapp: Five days ago, 3D-printed meat landed on US grocery shelves for the first time. Steakholder Foods launched five products in Northeastern retailers: filet mignon, marbled steak, chicken breast, salmon patties, and whitefish patties. None of them come from an animal. All of them come from a printer. A machine that prints half a ton of "steak" per hour from a paste made of soy protein, wheat protein, rice flour, and potato starch — layered and structured to replicate the fibrous texture and marbling of real meat.
