my wife passed December 13th last year, so I'm right there with you. Our anniversary is on Halloween, and Halloween was always a huge deal for us, so I'm struggling as well! I had gotten to the point where I couldn't get out of bed either, and I was literally grieving myself to death. In May, I met a great man though, and we actually got married in July. He's saved me in so many ways. People have judged me so harshly for moving on so quickly, but if I hadn't, I fully believe I'd have been in a grave right beside my wife at this point. If you want or need to talk, my DMs are always open and I fully understand what you're going through!

I lost my dad on December 8th, 2013. I am still struggling with forgetting that he is gone even though this year I will have lived longer without him than I did with him. This time of year is always the worst. My recommendation is to go to the thrift store, buy a bunch of breakables and just go ham. Break it all. It really does help and I think it would make him laugh.

I went through this same thing almost 8 years ago. Mine passed on my bday of all days. So every year it’s always a thing. I don’t really feel it on my bday to be honest, I feel it right about now. All the things I have to keep doing without him. Or the fact that I should have moved on by now. I can’t. I haven’t.

Lost mine almost 9 years ago. When I say I go on a roller coaster of every single one of these emotions every single year. The pain never goes away truly. I will be angry sad but happy all at the same time some days. Don’t forget about you too. One day at a time is my new motto. I accept the day for what it is and just look for him in my days and just how happy he would be if he were here I try so hard to stay positive.

My husband passed away 11/11/25. I feel all of this. I found you a couple months ago and I’m so glad that I did. I’ve never related to something more than when you said I’m really not looking forward to the rest of my life. People look at me like I’m crazy when I say that. But I get it.
