hiya. we do MAX and hour a day but have very many days without it. my son's 16m. we do ALOT of music, outside time, painting, ect. we include him with cleaning and cooking as long as we are not having a melt down. it is not easy and some days are VERY long

Tbh I put on a movie or two through the day on the big tv but we don’t allow hand held screens, but to be fair he “watches” it for a total of like 20 minutes a day. But I’ll be the first to admit it because I can’t stand the silence or not watching something all day if I’m home

we put on dancing fruit and finny the shark for background noise. she doesn’t really pay attention to the tv she just likes the music, plus it’s teaching her good things and we only allow it for 15 mins a day. idk i feel like there’s worse things in the world

I taught my son independent play at a young age now he can play with toys ALL day long 😭 if it weren’t for me grabbing him to do anything else I think he could sit there all day

Tv time doesn’t really count if it’s on while you play. I consider screen time as having a iPad and only focusing on that. I use ms Rachel and other YouTube videos to spend 30mins - 1hr a day before lunch time to make learning fun and catchy for the kiddos. So far it’s worked well, my 2 year old literally speaks in sentences and my 2 year old already knows over 100 words. Plus the catchy songs help 😅

Tbh, we started ms Rachel… we felt guilty, but she has actually learned a ton of language skills from it. We allow 30-60 mins, and it’s only to do things like make food, go to the bathroom, get stuff done knowing she’s in a safe spot.

We have slowly starting allowing a single bluey episode a day max (aka 10 minutes). And big screen only (no little screens).
