Plot twist, the accent is actually different, Americans just think all English that doesn’t have a noticeable accent associated with a specific country (ex: British, Australian, etc.) sounds like them

I’m here! Watched youtube as a kid! Got taught british english and now study in England… guess what. Everyone tells me I don’t have an accent at all. Not british. Not american. Not australian. They’ll tell me I pronounce words correctly but with different accents sometimes and I just “????”. One time I got told it’s genuinely hard to pinpoint where I’m from because of that.😭
