@noahtownsend177: Make jumping feel more effortless 👇 SAVE this for the next time you’re riding! 1. Get more reps. There’s no shortcut. If you want to get better at jumping, you have to jump more. 2. Find a dirt jump park. 50 jumps in an hour will teach you a lot more than pedaling 45 minutes for one jump line. 3. Get comfortable on a trampoline. Sounds funny, but air awareness transfers. If you’re comfortable controlling your body in the air, that’s going to help on a bike. 4. Stop trying so hard. You shouldn’t have to violently pull or yank the bike into the air. Smooth usually beats powerful. 5. Let the lip do the work. A well built jump is designed to give you lift. Ride through the transition and let the feature send you instead of fighting it. 6. Master small jumps first. Don’t immediately chase the biggest feature. Make small jumps feel boringly easy, then gradually size up. 7. Practice pumping. Good jumping starts before your tires leave the ground. Learning how to load and unload the bike through transitions makes everything smoother. 8. Stay loose. A stiff rider gets bucked around. Let your arms and legs move with the bike instead of locking your entire body together. 9. Look where you want to go. Stop staring at the lip or directly underneath you. Eyes up, spot the landing, and let your body follow. 10. Make consistency the goal, not distance. The best jumper isn’t necessarily the person going the biggest. Get to where the same jump feels identical 10 times in a row. Effortless doesn’t mean you’re doing nothing, it means you’ve practiced enough that you don’t have to force it. đŸ€˜ #mtb #mtbtips #mountainbiking #trestle #biking
