PLEASE READ: HYBE and Geffen have decided to end their joint venture, HxG, after severely misaligned visions for the group. Hybe wanted the DA “Wannabe” performance group version of Katseye. Geffen wanted the DA “Buttons” performance group version of Katseye. In light of this dissolution, Geffen is wanting to reassign the girls’ contracts to their label, and HYBE wants to reassign Saint Satine. However, Geffen reallyyy didn’t want Manon in the group while HYBE did. So if Geffen is going to take full control of the group, they’re going to take the group they wanted to invest in to begin with. However, contracts cost money, T&D costs money, shows, staff, outfits etc. it ALL costs money. Hybe has been holding the wallet in HxG, and is not simply going to allow Geffen to take those contracts given the money HYBE has invested in the development of the group. Basically HYBE has been funding the wedding Geffen has been planning. Hence why we have more brand collabs and ads than music… they are trying to make their money back before allowing Geffen to reassign ownership. Once they are able to recover their debts, they can then begin work on transferring ownership of ALL of their contracts, including Manon. If they choose to not reassign her, that’s it. Either she’d have to go solo, continue with the group under new conditions, move on with her career, or whatever. But we will not get an announcement until BOTH hybe and Geffen have reached a resolution. This is my opinion. Joint ventures like HxG dissolve all. the. time.

The whole hiatus was supposed to be a planned publicity stunt by HxG it was either Dani or Manon who went on hiatus they chose Manon. When pinky era was approaching hybe wanted to bring her back but geffen didn’t, just for the fact that they liked them as OT5. HxG are everywhere and don’t know what to do with her. Free Manon.

I honestly don’t think it was planned. I do think she was happy and content and her and missy must have had a sudden disagreement that escalated and they put Manon on break, they then tried to renegotiate to fix the issue and prob planned to have her back (based on Manons Weverse post where she said she was having “good conversations w hybe”) and then that didn’t work out and either she said fuck this or she didn’t agree w some possibly unreasonable terms they wanted her to agree w and they said “then ur out” I feel like this whole thing wasn’t conspired. Based on all the sudden changes that had to happen after her hiatus and all the things they signed up for and had planned, I think there was just a disagreement that escalated unexpectedly. Hence why she only unfollowed missy. Not the girls or hybe x geffen or the official katseye accounts. But that’s just my opinion. Do I think she was treated unfairly at a certain point surrounding her hiatus? Yes. But I don’t think it was a big conspiracy. She prob spoke out at a rehearsal or meeting or smth about smth to do w the group or the management and she got punished for it.

I miss her so fucking bad but I genuinely hope she doesn't come back at this point. The way she's been treated this entire time is appalling. Out of all the rumors and speculations of why she’s on hiatus the most believable one I’ve seen is she tried to get more breaks. Not just for herself but when she saw how busy they were this year she tried to advocate for more breaks because of how busy they were and the company didn’t like that. Sophia or whoever saying “the door is always open” makes me feel like she was put on hiatus for her “break” but now Manon feels unwanted. (Again this is just speculation I got this from someone who claimed to be apart of the KATSEYE team or company so who knows how true it is it’s just the most believable one to me atleast)
