@campingwithsquatch: The truth about 5th wheels Vs. travel trailers 😂 the real differences between a 5th wheel and a travel trailer that nobody tells you before you buy #CampingWithSquatch #RVTok #5thwheel #RVLife #FullTimeRV #traveltrailer
Don’t forget a 5th-wheel you can back into almost any spot with ease because you can jackknife over 100° with the right truck as apposed to a bumper bull where your limited to in most cases less than 45°

We had both. Went from a travel trailer to a 5th wheel. I couldn’t back up either. [Tears of joy]

Had both, fifth wheels are a height problem, low tree branches will cost you, low bridges will scare you, covered gas stations are off limits, etc. But I prefer a fifth wheel, maybe thirty feet, forties are another issue.

Fifth wheels ride better but if u upgrade the tires to 12-14 ply and gen-y shank with equilizer hitch travel trailers will ride pretty dam good too. I had a fifth wheel for 10 years but wanted to bring golf cart and didnt want a toyhauler, rather have a nice bunk house for kids. Plus im only 11.5 ft high now but still 38’ long and golf cart in the bed of truck

Great video! Me personally I did not like the ride with a 5th wheel, and I like the bed of my truck.

My wife and I will be looking into living the RV life within the next year or so. After watching several of your videos we have decided we would like to consult and buy from you when it comes time. The next time we leave out from Houston and head that way we will stop by.

I love your videos. They are so helpful. Thank you! We’re not camper owners yet, but we consider it for the future and these videos are very helpful.

Just get a B&W hitch. Pull it out when you aren’t towing the 5th wheel.

If a fifth wheel is more like a house then stay in your house which doesn’t depreciate. My idea of camping is when a hotel doesn’t have room service.

Only thing would’ve fifth Wheel is when you have to back at it a tight spots it doesn’t turn as fast as a travel trailer. That’s the only difference but I would never give it up

They aren’t really the same. I’ve had both, 5th wheel tows way better, and I hate the low ceilings in a travel trailer being 6’3”

5th wheel goose neck, keep your bed when you're not towing. We had a travel trailer with weight distribution hitch and seay control. It didn't matter when a side wind hit. My butt ate my drawers everytime. The right truck can pull a 5th wheel and a trailer with your toys. Just know how to drive.

I don't want to give up my bed of my 2500 for a fifth wheel. always has a travel trailer cuz of it. I seen these freedom hitches that have the fifth wheel attach. have you had any experience with those. would go to a fifth wheel if can go that route

but if you have two trucks.....you can get both, but seriously, you forget to mention that you can get a toy hauler for the toys!

I have an F-350 dually with a 5th wheel toy hauler and also have a Lance cabover camper. The bed of the truck is completely usable. Just take the 5th wheel hitch out with a simple 4 pins and you have your entire truck bed back. I have no problem putting my Lance Camper on and hauling random truck things when not using the toy hauler. 5th wheel tows better and distributes weight more appropriately. Just my 2cents.
