Du 6 octobre 2026 au 7 février 2027, le Musée national Picasso-Paris présentera l’exposition "Kurt Schwitters. Le chaos-monde 1918-1948", une rétrospective majeure d’un artiste à part du mouvement Dada, du constructivisme et de la scène abstraite allemande et qui n’a pas été montré en France, depuis plus de trente ans. Réunissant plus de trois cents œuvres et documents - peintures, sculptures, assemblages, collages, dessins, carnets, photographies, livres et archives - l’exposition propose une immersion dans un univers d’une exceptionnelle richesse formelle et conceptuelle. Elle met également en lumière les échos qui relient l’œuvre de Schwitters à celle de Picasso, notamment dans leur rapport à l’expérimentation, à l’assemblage et à la transformation des matériaux du quotidien. ----------------------------------- From 6 October 2026 to 7 February 2027, the Musée national Picasso Paris will present the exhibition “Kurt Schwitters. Le chaos-monde 1918-1948”, a major retrospective of an artist who stood apart from the Dada movement, from the constructivism and the German abstract art scene, and whose work has not been exhibited in France for over thirty years. Bringing together over three hundred works and documents – paintings, sculptures, blends, collages, drawings, sketchbooks, photographs, books and archives – the exhibition offers an immersion into an exceptional formal and conceptual richness world.
