@merlin.aep: Maybe this one is a bit obvious but idc it just fits the best! And lions can be good kings too just like Arthur! #theadventuresofmerlin #arthurpendragon #kingarthur #lion #fyp

Powder Blue :

I recently found a merthur soulmate fanfiction where in this au your soulmate is represented as a spirit animal that follows you around. And Merlin's a lion (for Arthur)

Mac :

If being hunted by Arthur is like being hunted by a lion I feel like being hunted by Merlin would be a jaguar or a tiger...you don't see him coming. ever.

arthur's sword :

nah im sure it's like being hunted by a donkey (the donkey ep)

——— :

And merlin is quiet but not harmless in the back like a sly fox

Random_User23 :

yess he HUNTS WITHOUT HIDING BECAUSE IF HES THERE YOURE PREY ALREADY

Rogue_Furry🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 :

only the lionesses hunt though? male lions only hunt while they're all alone at a young age, when they're still looking for a pride

Yes Exactly EXACTLY :

lioness* they hunt in groups and are deadly protectors

phyllis :

honestly, this makes so much sense because in my mind the knights in Merlin are the lionesses and Arthur is the the leader who comes in for the final kill.

jacky_534 :

And then you have the Lionesses (Merlin) doing all the actual work!!!

Constellation {51%}-{49%} :

Merlin is still waiting btw!

lala 🧙‍♂️🤘 :

Golden king 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

🪽~Hermes~🪽 :

Then you have the lone wolf ( Merlin )that somehow got super attached to the lions and they both consider each other pack/ pride

Hope Rivera :

that reminded me of Aslan

fem_loki :

Arthur: kitten merlin: lion

Erin!! :
