Najib’s time was honestly better. Afghanistan had more stability back then, and things got much worse after his government fell and different groups started fighting for power. Massoud was one of the major figures in that conflict, but in my opinion, he didn’t really gain anything from it in the end. He died, and Afghanistan was still left in a terrible situation. To me, it looked more like a fight for power than simply fighting for the people.
