@schwabsdaily: This makes every hotel look lazy. I'm in Japan learning about omotenashi. It's a 500 year old tradition and it is not the same thing as good service. A ryokan is not a hotel with tatami on the floor. It's hospitality built at a personal level, which is a different job than running a good stay. Almost nothing I show you in this series costs money. If you run properties, ask which parts of your guest experience you built for the guest, and which parts you built because they were easier for you. Bigger isn't the win.
