you know I think most of us know that some days we just don't feel well we got a little bit of upset stomach maybe have some diarrhea and maybe we're throwing up but it doesn't mean we have to spend that kind of money to go all the way to the doctor leave the house and be uncomfortable so employers need to get a grip and realize it sometimes we need a day off whether it be a mental rest or physical rest

There’s no point in booking a doctor appointment if you have a regular cold with fever. Pay $50 copay and all they do is tell you to take a Tylenol lol. Might as well get better on your own. Employers should understand this.

This is a question that I’ve always had. I am now retired and I have in the past. Had to have doctors notes when I am just feeling unwell to return back to work. Sometimes you just don’t feel OK. Sometimes you’ve got the shits and can’t go anywhere. Sometimes you’ve just got a cold or the flu and there ain’t nothing. A doctor is going to be able to do other than write you a note which is inconveniencing me not feeling well having to drive myself somewhere just to get a note to say that I’m sick when I should be in bed resting so that I can come back to work the next day refreshed. If you’re sick, you’re sick if you call out you call out if you have the time on the books to take take it it’s yours. A company requiring a note is a bullshit controlling company. Get a new job.

I told a supervisor I would sue him for abuse of power when he tried to do that to me. IT’s after TWO days of missed work, then you need a doctor’s note.

I turned in a doc note and they still didn’t release my points for that day so I asked why n they said it’s just in file for if I ever use a medical leave and it matches up then they can finally excuse it. I said well since I have to pay more than half of my medical expenses with yall bullshyt insurance u won’t be getting any doctor notes from me, im not adding another bill to my life to not excuse me

Most jobs don't require a Dr's note also you can be off sick 3/4 business days with 1 occurrence

I’m so glad I don’t work at a place like this. I’ve gone as far as letting my boss know that it’s great weather and I’m taking a mental health day to go fishing. He wished me luck and the next day wanted to know what I caught. I work for a billion dollar company, so know we are exactly buddy buddy.
