For years after and even occasionally now I’ve had patients worried knowing they were getting the drug that killed MJ. We always do our best to assure them they will be properly monitored and if MJ had been properly monitored by an anesthesiologist or anesthetist he wouldn’t probably not died

I am a nurse that does pre op calls and have to explain at least once a day that propofol is safe when administered by someone that's actually trained to give it in a controlled environment. Same with fentanyl.

There was a Pain management Dr here in the town I live in. He hooked himself up to a drip of Propofol at his home to get a full back tattoo. He was unable to control it and died while getting his tattoo. Source: His office did business with the office I worked at.

I never truly grasped how terrible his Pepsi burn was until a medical doctor explained it on here. He had nerve endings that were so severely damaged that he was in constant pain hence why he couldn’t sleep….
