Also if you have fruit flies, vacuum them up. Works great. I have a hand vac so I just release them outside (they find a way out of the vac otherwise).

also: spray/pour cleaner onto a folded paper towel and wipe underneath the sink disposer flaps. do this weekly-monthly. reduces the amount of gnats/fruit flies in your sink.
