I wouldn’t be talking to her about nothing, simply because I wouldn’t want to hear the excuses and the oh I’m sorry because she knows exactly what she’s doing. In order for me to protect my nervous system and and sanity (because she’s going try to make yo feel like you’re making it all up) I would simply walk away.

No conversation necessary. Someone that lacks that level of introspection, who doesn’t attempt to enjoy the friendship and will only act fragile on confrontation and will weaponise OP empathy against her. Its already demonstrated with the last minute invitation… she will be further emotionally injured, because how did those conversations with her other friends go to justify the last minute invite particularly. Its a vulnerable situation and the bride to be hasnt shown enough consideration to validate further exposure. NO CONTACT

There are some friends will you only run to you when they’re going through something but once they are in a happy place,they suddenly forget who you are.Don’t accept her offer of being her bridesmaid it would even be better to cut her off completely because this friendship seems to be one sided

Why spend the time & money on someone who you probably won’t hear from til either the baby shower or the divorce down the line? These kind of people are acquaintances & no one should invest more than cursory time/finances as they will probably disappear in the not to distant future. Not worth the time to explain, simply say on reflection you do not have the time or money to commit but thanks for the thought. She’ll quickly find someone else, OP is just a placeholder to her.
