remember that not all suction bulbs are meant for nose. some are too big and can cause more harm. always check with your nurses🫶🏼

I'm a PP nurse who does float to SCN. I always teach my parents how to use this, especially for my C/S babies or the precipitous ones. Thanks for sharing!

Been a PP nurse for almost 18 years and I ALWAYS teach my parents how to use the bulb syringe. I always give the example of the alphabet and also tell them they don’t want to get snot on it and then put in baby’s mouth.

I remember watching my postpartum nurse suctioning my babies mouth with this. What’s the point of it? Just to clear any fluids or whatever else out of the mouth post birth?

Oh my jaw dropped. That exact one they gave me & it didn’t fit in my newborns nose it was too large. They also didn’t show me the mouth thing first either! Shook
