As a warning, a lot of "black henna" is NOT NATURAL and contains a chemical (PPD) that commonly causes allegic reactions (with the severity increasing with each exposure). I got henna done at a local fair and it wasn't even advertised as black henna but they had mixed in some to make it darker without informing me. I have permanent scarring now from where the henna reacted with my skin and have to be wary of all hair/skin dyes for the rest of my life.
