Allowing what I read to follow me into my decisions, my relationships, my thoughts, and my everyday life.Jesus says in John 8:31–32, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” I don’t want to simply hear His teaching, I want to hold onto it. When God’s Word tells me to forgive, I want to forgive. When it tells me to flee from sin, I want to walk away. When it tells me to love others, I want that love to show through my actions. When it tells me to trust God, I want to trust Him even when I don’t understand what He is doing. Abiding in God’s Word also means letting Scripture correct me. Sometimes I will read something that challenges the way I think or exposes something in my heart that needs to change. I don’t want to ignore those parts because they make me uncomfortable. If God’s Word reveals something in me that needs to change, I want to have the humility to listen. I would rather be corrected by God and transformed than comforted by my own excuses. I also know that abiding doesn’t mean I will never fail. There will be days when I fall short, become distracted, or make the wrong decision. But instead of abandoning God’s Word because I failed to live up to it, I want to return to it. I want Scripture to become the place I go when I am confused, tempted, discouraged, or searching for direction. I want God’s Word to remain with me when I close the Bible. I want it in my thoughts when temptation comes. I want it in my heart when I am angry. I want it to guide me when I have a difficult decision to make. I want my life to slowly become evidence that I am actually listening to Christ. I don’t want to merely read God’s Word. I want to abide in it, obey it, and let it transform me. I want the truth I read on the page to become the truth I live every day. I pray for you In Jesus Mighty Name Amen #jesuslives #jesuslovesyou❤️🙏✝️😇 #christianfyp #christiantokers #christiantok
