from some one who is a tailor and has worked on a sewing line: there are presser feet that do what the needle hack does, there are even flat fronts so you dont have to worry about tangling. do not use a magnet on your machine, it will magnetized the sewing plate and if you have one with a touchscreen it will fuck up the computer in the machine. also if youre having trouble with curves, slow down don't sew as fast. you dont need plug for lace, line the lace up before hand and use pins to hold it in place. the one for the rolled hem is ok but again there are presser feet and plate attachments that do that and not only will the tape heat up and leave the sewing plate sticky when removed but the cardboard with get worn away rather quickly which could change the quality of your hem
