@camilla.and.family: We finally have answers! I’ve been experiencing un explained bruising, fatigue, anxiety and depression so I had some tests done and my ferritin levels are 21. The plan is to heal my gut health and boost my iron intake to build my levels back up and hopefully get rid of these symptoms. I’ll keep you updated along the way. Thank you for all of your advice, guidance and most of all your kindness. Knowing I’ve got you all helps me so much. You have a wealth of life experience, knowledge and hearts full of compassion. I love you!! #lowferritin #ferritin #lowiron #gallbladderremoval #gallstones
Omg I’m so glad I’ve seen this video! I went to my GP about unexplained bruising and was just told to ‘keep an eye on it’ 😳 they didn’t say it could be iron related (or lack of) as my ferritin level is 9 and I’m currently waiting for an iron infusion. I was previously put on anti depressants as that seems to be the first thing they do, but I’m trying to wean off them as I know my symptoms are iron related! 😩

Well now I’m worried! Still waiting to have my gallbladder removed but I’ve never been able to maintain ferritin levels well. Lowest I’ve got to was 6 I think!

Low iron will also impact your mood. Fix your iron before trying the antidepressants

Hey, I went on MJ around the same time as you I was gonna comment the other day and say I thought it was your ferritin because I had lots of unexplained bruising all over my legs to the point where I convince myself I had leukaemia🤦♀️I was practically sleeping in 16 hours a day. I was so exhausted and I had a blood test and my ferritin was 15 and my vitamin D was also low, I’ve been taking the tablets for about 2 months now and wow I can’t explain how much more alive I feel x

So glad you got some answers and this makes so much sense! I also don’t have a gallbladder and have exactly the same symptoms as you! Unfortunately finding long term solutions has been hard for me with a lot of medical gas lighting on the way denying my lack of gallbladder being the issue 🙄 I’m sure I have BAM and maybe one day I’ll get a diagnosis but I’m 16 years in to gallbladder so make sure you push for answers 🫶🏻

I have bile malabsorption since having my gallbladder removed and my gp doesn’t care, I’ve begged for a bile binder and they refuse every single time, it’s hell on earth, my ferritin is low always and again they couldn’t care less x
