back in 2015 I was determined to buy a flat in London. I started saving £50 a month when I worked in Tesco. I knew I need to save more to reach my goalN so i needed a higher paying job. it took over a year but by late 2016 I got an administration job making 19k. and then every 12 months I would look for a new job to increase salary. one of my jobs was in south london, i lived north, it was 4 hrs on the train, five times a week for 13 months. form 2016 to 2020 i still had a Saturday job at Tesco. I was exhausted but it was worth it. it took 8 years but by 2023 I was making 55k and had saved 63k as deposit for the flat I now own. you just have to start from wherever you are, try your best, and stay disciplined.

I really wish I took investing more seriously when I was 25. I did buy my first home at 25, and then didn’t have any spare money to properly save. Now 30, just started investing. It’s definitely for the long term game, and even if I don’t get to see it my future children will
