Unless you come from vast wealth, it really isn’t fun. Try York or Oxford instead. Oxford is unexpectedly wild, but generally not in the “it’s fine I’ll call my dad’s lawyer” way.

Haha!! I did underground there and it truly was amazing but definitely socially cutthroat and for some reason a WEIRD number of people pretended to graduate / failed out of school and just kept acting like they were still enrolled

My son went there. Loved it and misses it. Years later he still loves visiting. Best time of his life there. 🥰

Don’t worry, dodged a bullet. I actually rejected them after being offered a place - I went for an applicant day and was genuinely met with both sexist and classist comments from the course leader. Turned down my offer immediately after that

You don’t want to go to St Andrews. It’s full of hooray Henrys who all think they are better than everyone else. It had that reputation when I was at uni in the 80s and it still has it. Same with Edinburgh. It’s a beautiful town but expensive to live in.

My ex’s younger brother went there and we went to visit him and idk the vibes are sooo weird 😭😂 maybe it’s because it’s nothing like normal uni’s in the UK, but it truly feels so isolated and cult like 😂
