@amber.accountability: It took 100 days to pay off the very first loan when I started this channel. It was a credit card that had a balance of $19,256.57. And we worked through that loan from 1/1/26 until 4/11/26. Paying that loan off truly propelled the remainder of series one forward so quickly it became almost expected that loans would be crushed in a week or two. And as much as I would LOVE for that to be a continued reality. This is a real life and real time walk through our debt payoff journey. But here is some absolutely WILD success that I feel like may have been forgotten or not given the celebration it deserves. In 66 days, we’ve paid off just shy of $25k. In July we paid off a car and a small student loan. In August we paid off another small student loan. And throughout that time we’ve also paid off almost ($63 away) 50% of this behemoth of a student loan. We are making AMAZING progress in this journey. And once we are past student 13; rewards and feel good moments WILL come quicker. We will go back to the snowball method and pay off the loans based on the smallest balances. I honestly think it will be shocking how fast we got through those small loans and we will be back to trudging through the deep muds of student loan 7 and the Everest’s peak that will be the Ford. I would love to see us be debt free by 12/31/27, and that is a long ways off, but the truth is. By being here and staying accountable, this is shaving YEARS off of the debt payoff journey.
