Everyone in this show has ptsd/c-ptsd but reiner has some of the most devastating representation of it in my opinion mainly because while everyone had to carry and internalize their guilt, reiner was so unable to reconcile with his two lives and guilt over Marcel’s sacrifice he literally developed DID because of it, like that’s so severe to me, someone who is so crippled by their self-loathing and trauma they develop 2 separate personalities with different memories etc,

i think Reiner is the most relatable character in the series. “What could you possibly do? You were just a child, just like me.” The life was forced on him by his mother. I'd trust him with my life and even if he betrays me, I'd let it slide or I'll understand.
