2025 CX50 here…I like the feature but when cars cut you off the braking can be intense. When it accelerates back to the set speed…it uses hyperspace!!! I wish it gradually resumed speed. Am I missing thats setting?

this is the best feature on the car if you take long trips. I just went 2500 miles in my 2019 CX5 and used this feature 80% of the time and it works flawlessly.

I love my CX-50, but the adaptive cruise is the worst I have used in a car. My wife's 6 year old Toyota is so much smoother. The Mazda, when following a slower vehicle, will fully accelerate and shift down to like 3rd gear from 6th, just to get back to up speed. Even if it is just 5 mph off... I have to slip mine into manual mode and keep it in 6th to prevent crazy downshifts.

yeah cruise control is recomended to alleviate foot pain you get from the weird gas and brake pedals. I would rather have no foot pain
