Brilliant. I’m watching my partner go through a similar journey. She is about to compete in a masters competition. Last time she skated singles she was 16. She switched to doubles. She’s 55.

Your last video came across my FYP and I’m so grateful it did. Not to deprecate the ability to immediately return to competing and landing quads right after giving birth, but IMO there’s far more inspiration to be found in what you’re doing. The courage and determination it takes to confront something where the path has been fraught with immense friction and anxiety often gets overlooked, but it’s certainly no less exceptional. I hope you’ll be able to find genuine self-love, acceptance, and joy in reclaiming your relationship to skating on your own terms. Your journey brings a great deal of humanity to a sport that sadly sometimes lacks it.

I went back and watched you at 2018 Olympics and Worlds when you won- so incredible. That will always be your legacy! What do you want the legacy of the modern you to be?
