looks terrible,,, but theres hope ,,U could have used Yr sander,,,to smoothen the patch,,,however,,,hand stitch another piece of leather,,,with a fancy shape over the patch,,,first glue then fine hand stitch, now do the same ,,exactly on the other shoe,,,You have a new look,,

Mejor le hubieras aplicado pegante en los bordes lo hubieras unido bien y por dentro le hubieras puesto un parche de cuero de refuerzo.
