I love seeing you do what you can do. I’d suggest some kind of extra “bumper” along the counter edge where you change him just as an extra layer of protection for his head when your maneuvering him from your lap to counter and back. This way if you jerked or he squirmed unexpectedly and were to hit it for any reason it would not be as much of an impact.

I am in awe of the help Nevin gives with the baby. Years ago my husband didn't ever get up with our baby or help out. I never had any help with my two boys and it is so sweet to see a dad overcoming any obstacles to be a good husband and father! All while taking care of the dogs too! You set the bar high for other new dads! Way to go both of you!

Hey Neven, we use a small half trestle table in our lounge as a "change table" which works perfectly for my hubby as he can wheel right up to it and it's a bit lower than your bench looks - could be worth looking into? We just leave it up with everything set up and I use it too :)

Nevin, I am a retired nurse, and had a quad as a patient at one time. His bowel training program was twice a week. Would you be able to train your bowels to no go every day?

I only ever changed my kids on the bed as newborns then anywhere else for when they are bigger lol. Do what works for you but that would just be quicker than going to the kitchen.
