@konah619: In April 2021, Sergeant Mark Dolfini, from the United States Marine Corps, stood guard for eight hours outside the room of Cody Green, a 12-year-old boy who was a fan of the Marines and was fighting leukemia, at Riley Hospital for Children in Indiana. The vigil took place the night before Cody’s death as a gesture of respect and support. During the funeral, Dolfini greeted the boy’s mother with a military salute, recognizing her courage, and Cody was named an Honorary Marine in recognition of the bravery with which he faced his illness.
